Maureen Porteous

Having qualified in Home Economics over 20 years ago, I have wide experience across ambient, chilled and frozen categories and continue to expand my knowledge and enthusiasm for creating new recipes and trying new ingredients.

I have seen the food industry continually develop, giving the consumer a wider choice than ever before. Having worked with brands such as Kraft, Sharwood’s, and McDougalls I have experienced the role of the Home Economist broadening to encompass changes in everyday life, such as the role of websites to interact with your consumer.

Helen Woods

I graduated as a Home Economist over 15 years ago and have extensive product development experience across branded and retailer branded grocery products, working closely with Sainsbury’s, Asda and Waitrose.

More recently I have developed my skills for recipe writing for packaging, websites and PR. I enjoy blending the scientific elements of my formal training with my love of cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
